First and foremost
THANK YOU FOR THIS INGENIOUS TAG READATMIDNIGHT!!
Be sure to check out her amazing creation here!
The tag is simple, answer the following pokemon questions with bookish answers.
Starters: When in doubt, always go fire type.
Actually scratch that – ALWAYS GO FIRE TYPE NO MATTER WHAT
For this first one, I have to say it would have been Paul Jennings (classic aussie author – did you ever read about the guy whose fingers kept falling off? Or the couple who kept swapping an exotic fish from mouth to mouth?) and Richelle Mead‘s Vampire Academy series (let’s be real, I probably started reading this straight after Twilight) – both are very different styles, and so are all the different Starters (which is way I made three Pokemon Go accounts).
I’m going to be real, I never understood the Pikachu obsession (
or the classic obsession) even from the show.
Let’s be real, we only catch those zubats for the XP.
One book I definitely lost interest in was Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen (And sequel Glass Sword), however, I still do own them in paperback.
Ditto: A Pokemon still not in my Pokedex.
I’m going to have to go with Sarah J. Maas‘ Throne Of Glass series (which I absolutely love), only because of the whole troubled, dazzling, irresistible girl trope. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE IT. But I do have to give myself a break from the trope every once in a while.
ALSO, Empire Of Storm in six days, can I get a heck yeah??
AGAIN ANOTHER POKEMON I DON’T HAVE!!! I just want my very own Snorlax 😦
Without a doubt, my answer would be George R R Martin‘s ASOIAF series, which clocks up to over five thousand three hundred (5300) pages. AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. Not only is the series painfully long, it’s not even complete and fantasy writer’s literally take ten years to complete the last book in a series. Fact.
Low-key hated running into these guys while playing Pokemon.
BUUUUUT, my one true pairing would have to be Yelena and Valek. They are literally my favourite couple in the entire universe, and Maria V Snyder and her whole world is flawless. I can’t even begin to tell you how many people I have dragged into her brilliance. Also she is absolutely lovely and I am so happy that I has the chance to meet her. Cheers, Supernova.
I ACTUALLY HAVE ONE OF THESE GUYS.
Don’t know if this really counts, but I’ll never get sick of Maria V Snyder continuing the Chronicles Of Ixia (Poison Study) – I absolutely love the world, so I will always want more.
Pffttt, we all knew Magikarp was gonna be the coolest one. For sure.
A series that was surprisingly awesome for me is Tamora Pierce’s Beka Cooper. Which was given to me as a price from my school library like eight years ago for completing my Australian readathon challenge.
I don’t have these either 🙂
Definitely Marissa Meyer’s Cinder series. I remember reading Cinder when it first came out, so maybe 2017 will be the year I finally finish it. I mean, who doesn’t want to read a dystopian princess story?
This tag is just teasing me with all the pokemon I don’t have now.
I wish I owned all the Study and Glass books (Maria V Snyder, DUH) in Italian. Not only would it motive me to continue learning Italian, but the covers are super pretty and I want all of them ok. I need them.
Go and read it right now.
I used all my lures by accident.
My auto buys include: Maria V Snyder (ofc), Sarah J Maas, J.R Ward, Tiffany Reisz, J.K Rowling and Emma Lowe.
Thank Pokemon Go for the lack of crashes lately.
I’ve been waiting almost a century for Snyder’s Dawn Study. I need it right now.
(JK it hasn’t even been a year since Night Study)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING TAG.
I TAG ALL OF YOU!!
