Evening night owls~
I’m constantly in reading slumps, and really suck at TBRs (and sticking to them) but nonetheless, I have decided to participate in the #AsianLitBingo challenge! Many of my closest book friends are taking part in this as a way to show support for Asian Lit as well as supporting Asian authors.
I hate to admit, that I don’t actively read AsianLit. So creating this TBR was a little difficult, but I think I’ve complied the perfect TBR pile. And I can’t wait to smash it out.
Here are some of my favourite TBRs
As well as the creators post, where the discuss why they created #AsainLitBingo and all the rules!
Here’s the bingo sheet/awesome graphic! I’ve decided to stick with 3-Across!
Science Fiction/Fantasy with an Asian MC: The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokski
The one has been on my list for quiet awhile now, and has gradually been collecting dust and waiting for the day where I finally grab it, AND THE TIME HAS COME! I’ll be going into this one quiet blind as I’m not exactly sure what it’s about. I’m very good at hiding from spoilers and can’t wait to explore Chokski’s world!
Historical Fiction with an Asian MC: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
A friend of mine sent me this as a present and I tried to read it a long time about but couldn’t get into it! I usually pick up the books I don’t get it to straight away after a break, and I guess the time has come!
Free Space: Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee
Again, another book I don’t know too much about! I’ve only heard amazing and wonderful things about it, so how could I NOT put this on my TBR????
Retelling with an Asian MC: The Wrath & The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I’ve spoken about how much I’ve wanted to read TWATD in a previous post, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to add it to my list! I’m 110% ready to start reading this book ASAP. I don’t care about my BEDTIME!!!!!
Contemporary with an Asian MC: The Secret Science Of Magic by Melissa Keil
I’m so intrigued by this book and can’t wait to make it my first Keil novel! I have a wonderful friend who absolutely adores Melissa’s writing and I can’t wait to surprise her and actually read one of her books! I was so lucky to have had gone to the Secret Science Of Magic launch and have wanted to read it ever since.
Are you participating in #AsianLitBingo? I would love to see your TBRs if you have one!
